Apparatus Building, Wolfeboro, NH | 2012

The Town of Wolfeboro’s Public Safety Complex included an aging apparatus building that was in need of repair. The Town selected QCC to identify structural deficiencies, design repairs, and provide construction administration support.

The existing single wythe, unreinforced exterior masonry walls of the apparatus building were removed and replaced with a new reinforced masonry wall system. Construction of the new masonry walls began with doweling them into the existing foundation. The roof diaphragm was improved by attaching the existing open web steel bar joists to new weld plates embedded into the bond beam. A new roof membrane and roof drainage system were also major components of this project.

The project was delivered utilizing the construction management process and Quantum Construction Consultants coordinated closely with the Town and the construction manager.
