Center Harbor Sand/Salt Storage Building, Center Harbor, NH | 2010

The Town of Center Harbor desired to replace the existing municipal salt storage building, which was deteriorating and undersized, to meet their current sand and salt storage capacity needs. Quantum Construction Consultants was retained by the Town to undertake a site analysis in order to determine the proper layout for facility operations, develop the building specifications for the type of structure desired, and prepare bid plans and specifications for construction.

QCC also provided construction administration services that included the review of structural calculations and shop drawings, and field construction observation and documentation. The newly constructed salt storage building is a 50’x72’ high-arch gambrel designed by Advanced Storage Technology, Inc. It contains two storage areas, separated by a concrete block wall, for the storage of sand and salt. Additionally, a loading ramp was constructed adjacent to the building to facilitate the loading of trucks. The project was constructed in 2010 and was funded by the Town of Center Harbor.
